One of the most well-known female Tantric deities throughout all Tibetan Buddhist lineages is Vajravarahi. Although she can take many other shapes, her core iconography has a single face, typically two hands and two legs, a crimson color, and a dance position atop a corpse. A sow head (varahi), either on the top or right side of her head, serves as the identifying iconographic feature. She is sometimes referred to as the "two-faced" Vajrayogini because of this sow's head.

Vajravarahi is revered as the incarnation of the Buddha's wisdom and the conqueror of ignorance. She is the consort of Heruka, who is symbolized by the khatvanga staff. Heruka stands for bliss, and she represents the emptiness component of the Buddha's awakened mind. The violent picture denotes victory over external and internal challenges, demons (maras), and the annihilation of delusions.

She represents both the passion, compassion, and knowledge that dispel ignorance and attachment to the illusory self, as well as the almighty force that removes all impediments to enlightenment.

As a spiritual art, this Thangka is used for meditation practice as well as mindfulness. It can be used for meditation or gifted to those who truly appreciate it, such as Buddhist practitioners or art lovers. It is a 100% hand-painted scroll painting that may be readily transported if taken for meditation or Buddhist practice.
