This hand-painted Shakyamuni Buddha Thangka features the same radiant green-and-blue halo style found in this tradition, but distinguishes itself through its lower landscape: a tranquil lotus pond rests in the bottom-left corner, its pink blossoms and broad leaves adding a soft, organic touch of natural beauty rarely paired with this style of radiating halo. Small flowering branches dot the hillsides on both sides, while soft pink-tinted clouds drift in the upper right corner of the sky.

His right hand touches the earth in the Bhumisparsha Mudra, marking his enlightenment, while his left hand rests in meditation holding an alms bowl. The radiant halo of fine lines against the green backdrop continues to convey a sense of gentle vibration and stillness, while the surrounding landscape — softened here by lotus blossoms and delicate florals rather than open water alone — gives the piece a more intimate, garden-like quality.

At the base, the eight auspicious symbols are gathered in traditional arrangement, completing this as a full devotional composition. This blend of radiant energy above and blooming natural detail below offers a warm, nurturing interpretation of Shakyamuni Buddha, well suited for meditation rooms and home altars where a gentler, more floral visual atmosphere is desired.
